My husband, two daughters and I attended a Tax Day Tea Party in our city today. There was actually two held, one at noon and one at 4:00. My husband went to the one at noon (my daughters & I were with our homeschool group at that time) and then we all went to the one at 4:00. There were SO MANY people there!! The energy was high and people were very vocal about what they were feeling. I saw quite a lot of teenagers and young adults there, standing alongside veterans and seniors. There were Democrats and Republicans there as well as a few Libertarians (besides my husband & myself).
This group of people lined the streets, waving signs for the motorists…who honked back in full support.
Other local bloggers also attended the Ocala Tea Party and posted about it, such as Junie Rose. A member at Free Republic also attended the Tea Party in Ocala.

I am not a Obama person and I happened to be black.All the pictures I have seen I have not seen one dark face.Were there any people of color there?We should have been there in large numbers because in the end this will effect us all.Keep up the good work.When our people realize that the president had Jesus picture covered at the collage campus I know they will feel letdown.Most black people believe in God.

Hi Vera, I saw a few black people, but not as many as I was hoping for. Two of my children are brown skinned (they’re biracial; black/white) and although my daughter was one of the few there, everyone made her feel welcomed.
