Left And Right Politics

The Candidates And Taxes

Posted by Billy

I’m getting tired of all the talk about the candidate’s campaign plan for taxes, then again it’s that way every four years when it’s time for someone to run for president. The funny thing is that they don’t write the bills that are brought to them while they’re in office, they just decide if they’ll sign it. It’s congress who writes these plans that are brought to the president.

What is never mentioned on the campaign trail is that the government needs to cut spending not trying to figure a way to get more money out of the taxpayers so they can spend more. I would love to see one candidate come out and say something of the sort of how they will not let Congress increase their salaries and that their vacations will be shortened if certain bills are not on time.

Who am I trying to kid? I know damn well that the candidate would never win the election if they were to say anything like that, but it’s nice to dream about it. As Americans we are held captive by our own government and quite frankly there’s really nothing that we can do about it. Yes, we could go ahead and not vote for the candidate that is not looking out for our best interest, but then again which one of them really is looking out for us?

Depending on which party is talking, they will say that they are going to cut taxes for the rich or the poor or even the middle class. Unfortunately the sheeple are none-the-wiser to the real facts of how the budget works. We as Americans are entitled to a copy of the current year’s budget, but if you were to try and get a copy of it, it would take you twenty years before you got it.
