It’s so nice of Joe Biden to take time out from his day job, to do some more campaigning for his pal John McCain…again.
On September 5th, In Pennsylvaina, Joe Biden told the crowd of Obama supporters, how close he and McCain are.
“John McCain is my friend. I admire John McCain. I know of no man or woman I have ever met that has more personal courage than John McCain. We have been friends for over 33 years. We have traveled together. When John was Navy liaison he staffed me for three or four years everywhere I traveled in the world.”
“Jill and John are good friends,” Biden said, referring to his wife.
“…he’s a great guy,” Biden said, “and if John called me today and said ‘Joe -,’ like when they went after John McCain, when Bush went after him in South Carolina with the scurrilous comments they made about his character, I called him and said, ‘John, where do you want me? I’m an Al Gore man but where do you want me? I will show up anywhere in America to testify to the kind of man you are.’ And he is a good man, he is a good man.”
Thanks Joe!

Yesterday, Joe Biden took a little time off from his job of trying to make Obama look good, to campaign for John McCain. Biden told a crowd in Florida, “He is my good friend. I get in trouble for saying this with some real strong Obama supporters. …if John McCain picked up the phone today and said, ‘Joe, I need you to get in a plane and fly out to Missoula, I can’t tell you why, I’d get in a plane and I’d go.”
Later he was asked about an effort, by the Republicans to portray their ticket as one of ethics and reform, Biden called McCain “a thoroughly ethical guy.”

Yesterday Joe Biden, the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee told a crowd in PA, in reaction to Hurricane Gustov, “I’ll be back to campaign in earnest, but today is not the moment for me to campaign. “Today is the moment for me as a United States senator running for president to put aside the national politics and focus on what’s happening down there.”
Last month, in Illinios Obama himself introduced Biden as “…the next President of the United States”.
Slip of the tongue?

Good article today on No Quarter, where Larry Johnson compares the experience of the two presidential, and the two vice-presidential candidates by asking the same two questions.
1. Have you ever been elected or appointed as a chief executive in charge of anything?
2. Have you ever directly challenged or attacked your party’s entrenched powers?
Go take a look at how they stack up against each other.
