Alberto and D. Trent, You guys are right in regards to the fact that the government can't change too much in a short period of time, but let's look at what Congress has done in the last 2 years for the economy since they took control of both houses. In my follow-up post titled What Is Congress Doing Anyway we see that they did nothing toward helping the economy. While people like McCain were stating the financial and housing sectors were going to fall, the Democrats decided to do nothing while the banking industry (namely Fannie and Freddie) were giving them kick-backs to look the other way. A problem that originally started by the Democrats in the 1990's by allowing people who couldn't afford to buy a house to do so with no money down.
Now as for what's going to happen when and if Obama gets in office. How much money do you make because if you make more than me, Obama says that you must give some to me because you should look out for people less fortunate than you. "It's your duty as an American to do that" according to Barack Hussein Obama.
I work hard for what I have and I will not share it with people who are too lazy to pick themselves up and work for what they want.

The first six years the economy was NOT fine. Bush himself cried out recession throughout the early 2000's, and 2004 was also an economic downturn. This problem has been around for years, and it has finally surfaced because nothing has changed.

To scare people from wanting change through this example is silly. What's happening now isnt change, it is a cumulation of everything that has stayed the same.

Albertos last blog post..People Don’t Trust The Government Bailout

Sorry but no one can change an organization so much in less than 2 years especially the government where there is so much bureaucracy. These problems just bubbled up to the surface over the last 2 years.

BTW America hasn't had a strong economy since 2001
