This week the Federal Highway Administration reported that Americans drove 9.6 billion (yes that is a B). What else will it take to get Congress to finally allow drilling in America? In my last post I spoke about how Congress thought it was more important to go on vacation that working on the issue.
Why isn’t it possible to not pay them? Politicians work for us, who are they to decide to go on vacation with pay. The inmates are running the asylum, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon. It’s a real shame that there is no way the we can appeal their decision. When a worker wants to go on vacation, he/she has to ask for the time off. If the boss denied the request the worker doesn’t get it and that is that.
Remember this when it’s time to vote on these Democrats who made this choice of going on vacation instead of taking care of the American people.
